Trust in God

It has come to my attention, that today's economy is at a record worst and it is not looking good. We are not on the gold-standard anymore, we haven't been for decades, and the value of our dollar keeps dropping. Sadly the government has decided to abandon the basic concept of economics, that the more you have of something, the less valuable it is, and is printing more money. Hyper-inflation is so immanent. We are over 14 Trillion dollars in dept, and its only getting worse. On top of that, we owe China a very large amount of money, and if we cannot pay them back, it could cause war. I am telling to all of this, to try to instill the basic, and yet so difficult, concept of simply looking to Christ. This world is temporary. This nation is temporary, and whether its soon or not, the end is coming, and nothing else will matter, except Christ. In these times its tempting to become really obsessed with whats happening now, and that is okay, just remember that no matter what happens, God remains the same. It is so crucial that we do not find comfort in this world, or nation, but to trust in our Heavenly Father. No matter what happens, to this nation, or to this world, we must genuinely look to Christ in all things. I implore you to look to eternal things. Find comfort in this, that God, never changes, and He will be with us until the end. We must be satisfied in Him and not this world, or this nation. Look to Christ, and set your eyes upon eternal things. Trust in God, nothing else matters in the eyes of eternity.

  1. Love what you are saying about God, but Isoroku Yamamoto "said You can not invade mainland US, because there is a rifle behind every door". America will never be attacked by the Chinese. Neither of us wants war. It would be pointless honestly. We have ballistic nuclear missiles on aircraft carriers off the South China Sea. One missile will target China and as it nears it's destination will brake off into 15 missile that would wipe China off the face of the Earth. If China fires a missile it will be shot down and I'm pretty sure even President Obama will not hesitate to act. For the economical stand point we are entering a double dip recession because of the "fundamentally change America" standpoint. Meaning destroy marriage, family, and God. Cloward–Piven strategy is also another topic we could discuss, but the point is that this is what happens when you turn away from God. We need to start using the Gold-Standard and stop all this welfare to people who don't need it along with pensions. The way things are going how is 70% of America going to live off the rest of the 30%. The only people who deserve that is the Military. There is so much more I could talk to you about this, but to be honest I rather listen to you talk about and spreading the word of Christ.

  3. haha thanks Dan.

David, I love that quote, and its true, but something you have to understand is that you need money to fund a war. We should know that by now since we are in a very expensive war right now. Just having weapons is not always enough, you need money to fund it. I was mainly discussing the economical state of the country, and the possibility of it going to war, it was hypothetical. I do agree that we must get back on the gold standard, but that is going to require a TON of budget cutting, way more than we have ever imagined. Obama began his presidency with a 2 trillion dollar debt (thanks to the Bush administration) and he has since then, more than multiplied it by seven. We are currently 14 trillion dollars in debt. That will be almost impossible to fix (without "divine providence"). We are in a crisis situation and it is not looking good. I am not trying to sound unAmerican, I love my country and am very patriotic, but this is bad. Finally, my overall point in even mentioning all these things was simply to get people thinking about eternal things (hence the name of the post "Trust in God"), and turning to God for their comfort and trust and not something temporary. To take their minds of the carnal and on to the eternal. In this day and age, it is so crucial that people stop saying there is no hope, because there is. It may not be this country, this country mat fall ,but God is still good and we need to continue to glorify Him no matter what. That was my point in saying all of this. We must remember to be satisfied in God alone, not things of this world. And when we are most satisfied in God, it brings Him glory.

‎"God is most glorified in us, when we are most satisfied in Him." - John Piper

  5. For the record, in our nations history, whenever we were in a recession we started a war and that always fixed our economy.
